Fireworks Events Calendar
Summer in Japan means festivals and fireworks. The Japanese don’t mess around when it comes to firework displays with July and August being the busiest months.
Japanese people wear 浴衣 – yukata – light kimonos, hold 扇子 – sensu – fans and gather together to eat, drink and see the 花火 – Hanabi – fireworks.
Some festivals can attracted up to nearly a million people as in the Tenjin Festival. Some fireworks display can set off anything up to 20,000 fireworks such as the PL fireworks display in Osaka. In an attempt to not miss out on the explosive festivities, we have made a calendar for both the Kansai and Kanto regions of Japan. We will be updating these calendars with new information.
