Hi everyone and welcome back to another episode of Learn Japanese Pod. In this week’s lesson, Asuka shows us how to use the following word: なるべく.

なるべく means “as much as possible” or “wherever practical”. Check out the podcast to hear how it is used naturally in Japanese conversation.

なるべくcan be found in the grammar and word fill section of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test.

Enjoy!

Daniele Vitale Says:

いつもように 非常に面白い会話。ところで、「はらじく」か「あらくじ」の綴りを教えていただけませんか。なかなか分からなかったんですから。

次のレッスンを待ち望んでいます。
Greetings from Rome! ;)

Daniele Vitale Says:

あ、間違えた。「いつものように」 と「あらじく」ですよ。:)

Alex Says:

コメント書いていただいてありがとう。ところでどこで「あらじく」を見ましたか?

Daniele Vitale Says:

At 9:30, 「あるじく(whatever) だから, 直ぐに…」, then at 13:50 you explain 「…in this context, means “now I mean”…」. However, I can’t seem to find this word anywhere – surely because I can’t spell it properly!

Alex Says:

HARAJUKU! It’s a place in Tokyo.

Daniele Vitale Says:

Haha, wakarimashita. Thanks for clearing that up!
